Imagine producing professional neutral and toned black-and-white prints with even higher density levels, with virtually no metamerism or bronzing. Imagine producing archival prints with amazing color accuracy, gloss level, and scratch resistance, while providing consistently stable colors that significantly outperform lesser ink technologies. Now enhanced with our breakthrough Vivid Magenta pigments, our current generation ink technology requires only eight colors, including a three-level black technology, to significantly raise the quality levels for professional color and black-and-white prints.

As a result, the Epson Stylus® Pro 4000 Series has become the standard within the world's greatest design studios, photographic labs, and commercial print shops. I was looking at using the InkTec Sublinova bulk using the refill carts. The ideas from thousands of Creative Professionals are built into every Epson Stylus® Pro printer. Thank you so much for all this information. We started our business with a Stylus Pro 4400, and a year later replaced it with a 7600, and a year after that a 9600 (which we're still using) We get 12 mug transfers across the 112cm width, with each mug transfer working out about 1p due to the above mentioned inks, and 44" transfer paper being much cheaper per metre squared than A4 sheets.

The Stylus Pros are a huge step up in quality of printer compared to little Epson home/office models, and you don't have to use the full width of the printer if you don't want to - the 4000 series has a sheet feed that will happily use A4, but there are big advantages to using the sheet feed and then only printing the height of page you need, and then the printer cutting it off. If you get any Epson inkjet, and get something like InkTec Sublinova, then the costs work out at about £15 per 100ml of ink, so a huge saving on using a Ricoh where there isn't much availability of suitable alternative inks. I am a DTG printer and very us to dealing with print heads as most are Epson 4880 heads.

Is yours a hybrid.? As if possible I'd like to have 4 sublimation and 4 pigment. I am doing a lot of mugs and coasters and want to start doing some SUb tees and cushion covers and other items. A4 100% coverage will cost you £0.60p so when you're doing say coasters you're adding 10p to your costs. I have been using a Ricoh 3110 for about two years and it's now not cost affective as the inks are £40 for CMY and K is £55 for 29ml. I cannot knock the printer just the need.Ĭheers mate. Hope this helps I realise it's probs not the answer you wanted but I could have saved around £1000. When I first set up I talked myself in to thinking I needed it but to be honest I wished I'd gone with a cheaper A4 setup with cheaper inks. The printer will need regular use as the nozzles will block and you'll find yourself going through the unblocking procedure quite often, It's an expensive setup you can hardly afford to waste on cleaning out. Looking back for me the expense probably outweighs the useage.

Yes they are a really good printer, yes the ink is very good. All questions I asked myself but then went and purchased one. Ask yourself do I actually need a printer of that size, what am I going to print on it, are the inks going to pay for themselves.

I would deffo think twice before getting one. On that he advised for me to go one way or the other and probs go for a full set of subli ink. contacted me and looked in to the situation and the resellers of the inks and the software said for me to use that combination would be a nightmare and would lead to problems. using OEM inks and subli inks as an hybrid printer.
